SkillsUSA Council Day

Participating CTE Schools

  • SkillsUSA Council spends a day at each CTE school introducing students to the SkillsUSA organization and history along with the Council’s Program of Work

  • The goal is to increase awareness and student membership

Annual Meeting & Leadership By Example Award Breakfast

Homewood Suites, Center Valley

  • Students network with Council members and give speeches

  • Presentation of the Leadership By Example and Volunteer of the Year Awards to a champion of career and technical education and supporter of the Council

Professional Development Conference

Camelback Resort

  • Two-day training for students to learn various employability skills 

  • Business representatives meet with students during the career cluster sessions to discuss career pathways

Officer & Ambassador Training

  • Additional one-day training for students in a leadership role at their CTE schools

District 11 SkillsUSA Championships (Snow Date January 25)

Agri~Plex & Scattered Sites

  • Sixty competitions that test skill and leadership abilities

  • Only one of its kind in the country

  • Competitions at the Agri-Plex are open to the public

  • Business representatives judge and coordinate competitions

  • Winners of district competitions advanced to states

Signing Day

DeSales University

  • Recognizes graduating students heading directly into the workforce with a full-time job secured in their area of study, those attending college to pursue studies related to their trade, and those entering the Military

Lehigh Carbon Community College

  • Awards are given to exceptional students for their scholastic achievement, membership/participation and leadership position in student organizations/sports, community and SkillsUSA involvement, and entrepreneurial spirit
