Elmer Gates Enterprise Awards
The Elmer Gates Enterprise Awards are hosted by the Gates Family and SkillsUSA Council, and given to Career & Technical Education students. Students are honored by the family of Elmer Gates, a founding member of SkillsUSA Council with a breakfast ceremony. Students are chosen based on their scholastic achievement, school activities, SkillsUSA involvement, community service, and entrepreneurial spirit.

On May 21 from 7:45 to 9:00 AM, at Lehigh Carbon Community College in Schnecksville, the SkillsUSA Council will host the 40th Elmer Gates Enterprise Awards, honoring 43 senior high school career and technical education students from Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe, and Upper Bucks counties. They will be recognized for their scholastic achievement, community service, entrepreneurial spirit, and involvement in SkillsUSA.
Breakfast will be served at 7:45 AM and the program will begin shortly after 8:00 AM. Approximately 250 family members, school personnel, legislators, business, and community supporters will attend. Students will receive a plaque, citations from national and state legislators, and a check from the Gates family.
