Sherry Beahn Palsi

I am currently the Controller & Financial Manager for Allen Lear Home Care Associates Inc., and Beck ‘N Call Inc., based in East Stroudsburg, PA. I manage the finances and oversee the financial departments of both companies.

I was enrolled in the CAD program at Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School and then moved to the graphic arts program. I became involved in VICA (SkillsUSA) as a sophomore, but became active in leadership positions in VICA as a Junior. I ran for Eastern Region Vice President and won. It’s hard to believe that I was shy and introverted but being at Vo-tech really brought me out of my shell. I learned that I loved being in a leadership role and public speaking. After graduating in 1994 I enrolled in the Business Management Program at NCC and then later enrolled at PSU in the Business Program with a minor in management and marketing.

Regardless of the jobs and responsibilities I had after graduation, I was always involved in leading a group and/or team. I feel that BAVTS and my involvement in VICA, helped me tremendously to recognize that I could graduate from high school, I could go to college, and I could do more than struggle like my parents had done before me.
