Melinda Stumpf was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley. She became involved with SkillsUSA as a student at Bethlehem AVTS, and had the opportunity to travel to Kansas City to participate in the National SkillsUSA Championships as part of the Total Quality Management competition, where her team placed first. She went on to receive an Associates Degree from Northampton Community College, followed by a Bachelors Degree from Muhlenberg College, and an MBA from St. Joseph’s University.
Melinda began her career working for Neighborhood Housing Services, a non-profit that assists families purchasing their first homes. She was later employed by Gateway Health Plan as a Community Development Associate. While in that position she was asked to join the board of the SkillsUSA Council as an Alumni Representative. In 2006, she become the Executive Director of the Council.
Melinda has made significant progress toward advancing the Council by expanding membership, increasing student involvement, and adding opportunities for students to advance their education.
